Different Ways to Add Our Freeze-Dried Fruits to Your ReadyWise Entrees

Yesterday we did a blog post on the different ways to use our freeze-dried vegetables, today we want to instead highlight our freeze-dried fruit and talk about some of different ways to use these as well as talk about the different benefits of freeze-dried fruit. Our 120 Serving Freeze-Dried Fruit Buckets are back in stock but do have limited supplies. If you are interested in purchasing one, you can do that here on our website or through this link . This is another great staple item we recommend having in your house, car or bunker. It comes packed in a grab-and-go, easy to store bucket. All the freeze-dried fruit inside is safely sealed in mylar pouches and has a 20 year shelf life. Our freeze-dried fruit does not have any fake flavors or preservatives and is made with 100% real fruit. Our peaches are our only item with a little bit of added sugar for sweetness, the others do not have any added sugar.

As we talked about yesterday with the vegetables, fruits are also an essential part of a balanced diet. Your body gets many benefits from them such as vitamix C, vitamin A and other essential nutrients. Freeze-dried fruit holds up to 90% of its original nutrition, only 10% of it is lost during the freeze-drying process. This bucket includes 4 pouches of bananas, 2 pouches of peaches, 4 pouches of strawberries and 5 pouches of apples (all gluten-free and vegetarian). These can be eaten straight out of the package or if you prefer, they can be rehydrated as well.

HOW TO SHAKE UP YOUR READYWISE ENTREES WITH SOME EXTRA FRUIT

These are some of the different ways we like to add in freeze-dried fruit to our ReadyWise entrees. We also suggest trying them on top of salads, toast, in or on top of smoothies, mixed in with granola, on top of acai bowls or just as a plain snack. Freeze-dried fruit is still very sweet and is also super filling, especially if you are drinking water while consuming. The fruits will rehydrate in your stomach, giving you that full feeling.

Sunrise Strawberry Granola Crunch - with EXTRA strawberries

Our Sunrise Strawberry Granola Crunch is one of our delicious breakfast adventure meals. It is a mixture of rolled oats, with nonfat milk and strawberries. We suggest adding more strawberries into this granola as well as any of the other freeze-dried fruit you may like. If you are a fan of strawberry bananas, this could be a great combination to try. The extra fruit will make this a more nutritious, fulfilling meal.

Banana Oatmeal Smoothie

A banana oatmeal smoothie can be a great on-the-go breakfast. This recipe can be made with our Whey Milk Alternative or non-dairy milk. We like to top it off with our freeze-dried bananas and a little pinch of cinnamon.

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • ¼ cup of oats
  • 1 cup of our Whey Milk Alternative (already mixed with water) or any non-dairy milk if you prefer
  • 1 spoonful of peanut butter
  • ½ tbsp chia seeds

  • ¼ cup of water
  • Top it off with a couple freeze-dried bananas or regular bananas

This smoothie is super simple to make, all you need to do is blend the ingredients until it becomes a creamy smoothie.

SNACKS

Freeze-dried fruit makes for a good sweet snack, kids love it too. If you have a sweet tooth, this is a great alternative to desserts. Many people prefer having something sweet after they finish a meal. Trying snacking on some of these fruits instead to kick away the craving. Fruit contains natural sugar that can keep your energy levels high and your metabolism running. Artificial sugar will give you a burst of energy, but will eventually make you crash and feel tired. These are just a few of the different ways you can use our freeze dried fruit bucket.
