Banana bread is great for anytime of the year! At the ReadyWise office, we have an all time favorite recipe that is BANANA BREAD with a delicious brown butter glaze and our Simple Kitchen Freeze Dried Bananas to top it off. This gives the bread extra flavor and can be a fun activity to bake with your family. Banana bread makes for a great dessert as well as a gift to give to your friends, family or neighbors.

DIRECTIONS :

Step 1: First you want to preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

Step 2: Next you are going to want to butter or pam your baking pan. We are going to be using a 9”x5” pan

Step 3: Third step is mashing your ripe bananas in a mixing bowl. You want to do this until the bananas have a smooth texture

Step 4: After the bananas are mashed, add in your melted butter, egg and vanilla extract. Mix.

Step 5: Next, add in your sugar, flour, baking soda, nutmeg and cinnamon.

Step 6: Mix until all the ingredients becomes a batter

Step 7: Pour your batter into your buttered or oiled up pan

Step 8: Bake for 40 minutes or until the toothpick or fork comes out clean.

Step 9: While the bread is cooking, it is time to make your BROWN BUTTER GLAZE. Start by adding the butter into a saucepan

Step 10: Cook the butter on a medium heat until it starts to “foam” (stir frequently)

Step 11: Once you see the foam stop stirring and let it cook until it becomes a light amber brown color

Step 12: Remove the pan from the heat and add in the powdered sugar as well as milk (milk amount can vary depending on desired consistency). Stir until the glaze becomes smooth

Step 13: Once the banana bread is ready, remove from the oven and let it cool off

Step 14: Once the bread has cooled down a bit, dizzle the glaze and top it off with some of our Simple Kitchen Freeze Dried Bananas

Step 15: ENJOY!
